Establishing a brief…
At the very beginning of the project our experienced surveyors will establish what needs, concerns and aspirations you have to outline an initial brief. After collaborating with you we will establish work flow patterns, carry out adjacency studies and create block plans to enable us to assess your departments or companies current/ future performance. From this information we will be able to establish where improvements can be made and outline the main objectives such as who converses with whom, who needs visual/ acoustic privacy, the scope for ancillary spaces and so forth.
Liaise with your staff!
You choose if a one-point-of-contact approach is adopted or if key personal interviews are required. Whichever method is utilised, we would recommend that you liaise with your staff and gather their opinions and ‘wish lists’ prior to us visiting. Remember, what you think your staff need is not always what they do need but compromises will often have to be made. Consider using anonymous suggestion boxes in order to gain real insight into staff needs and wants.
Solid starting point!
The workplace appraisal is an important stage in the design process. Get it right and you are provided with a solid starting point to begin space planning and implementation; get it wrong and you may well end up including vital changes later in the design process, inevitably costing you money and time. Work with us at this vital stage and with our help we will enable you to consider every aspect of your design and installation project minimising need for retrospective implementation. |
